Skating School Grapevine offers world-class roller skating instruction. Here, the focus is on developing each individual. All of our classes combine technique, balance and grace to create art in motion in the form of a performance. Learning to skate develops confidence, self discipline and personal responsibility. Skating also improves strength, flexibility, balance and coordination. The best part, however, is how much fun skaters enjoy in a safe yet exciting environment. Our coaches inspire the potential within every student to surpass limitations and achieve success!

At Skating School Grapevine, we teach the basic fundamentals of the sport of roller skating year round. Each student will learn technique combined with balance and grace. Advanced skating and conditioning skills are also offered, improving self-discipline, teamwork, concentration and coordination. We then use these skills to create art in the form of a public performance, each Winter and Spring at SkateTown. Each class will have at least one choreographed group number, performed in conjunction with solo and guest performances. Solo routines, duets and small groups numbers are available, but will require private instruction for choreography.
SKATING SCHOOL CLASSES – DANCE & DRILL, FREESTYLE, & MOVES IN THE FIELD
We start by teaching all skaters both safety and basic skating skills. As the skater progresses, we use rhythmic movement and synchronized skating to create unique performances and build teamwork. We also teach the art of jumping and spinning to create an extreme performance. Specific skating moves are taught which will allow the skater to learn choreography to music. We concentrate on the elements of roller figure skating that emphasize basic skating skills, edges, balance and control.
Skating School Grapevine – $65.00 per month; $15 discount for additional family members
One 1 hour class per week
One public skating session per week is included in the tuition fee. Skaters are encouraged to use this time for socializing and practice.
2 performances per year in the Winter and Spring.
